How to Find Ominous Trial Keys in Minecraft 1.21

Ominous trial keys have a 30% chance to be ejected as loot when an ominous trial spawner is cleared. However, ominous trial spawners are not present by default within trial chambers. Instead, they appear after drinking the contents of an ominous bottle, which causes any nearby trial spawners to transform into their ominous form. But be warned! Ominous trial spawners spawn enemies with better gear, shoot projectiles, and drop potions on players’ heads from above.

What Do Trial Keys Unlock in Minecraft 1.21?

While exploring trial chambers, chances are a few vaults were encountered. Trial Keys are the sole way to access the loot hidden within these exciting new blocks. And the best part? Every player on a server can receive rewards from a vault block once, assuming they have a trial key to open it. As for ominous trial keys, they unlock the much rarer and harder-to-reach ominous vaults within trial chambers. To tell an ominous vault from a regular vault, look at its base. Ominous vaults will have diamond, while regular vaults have copper.
