The PlayStation State of Play that occurred on February 12 highlighted various announcements from different games. One notable example is Abiotic Factor, which will be available on different consoles soon!

Abiotic Factor Console Release Date Revealed

Although no exact day for the console release has been announced at the time of writing, these versions should launch with the game’s full release (also called the Cold Fusion Update). Additionally, PlayStation users who are also PlayStation Plus subscribers can enjoy the game on the first day of its console launch through the service’s game catalog. Xbox users can also take advantage of a similar benefit, albeit they can download and install the game if they're subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. However, it seemse that the console release date of Abiotic Factor, along with its Version 1.0 launch, has been pushed back. Note that it was previously announced that the 1.0 Release – Cold Fusion Update was supposed to happen sometime in spring 2025. On the other hand, the latest announcement, which mentioned the game’s console release, said that these updates will happen in the summer. This suggests the release timeline might still not be as solid as it seems, and another move is always possible.

Will Abiotic Factor Have Crossplay?

Crossplay will be enabled as part of the Abiotic Factor console release. However, the announcement mentions that this feature is optional. Although details are scarce at the moment, it could mean that scientists can toggle crossplay from within the game’s menu. With crossplay enabled, Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox scientists can see and play in and around the mysterious laboratory. Soon, players can enjoy the game’s many features, such as choosing specializations and crafting supplies. In the meantime, PC scientists who wish to play with others in a multiplayer setting can do so in an Abiotic Factor dedicated server while waiting for the full release and launch of the console versions.
