Trial Chambers

As the update’s name would suggest, trial chambers are an exciting new addition to the overworld that puts players’ skills to the test! These labyrinth-like structures are filled with trial spawners that scale to match the number of players nearby, vaults inside are filled with loot that all participating players can receive, and their copper and tuff block design is as cool as can be.

The Breeze

Made of air rather than fire like their distant cousins, the breeze is a brand new mob that spawns exclusively within trial chambers. Their rooms generate with traps that their wind charges can activate, they bounce around the battlefield at a rapid pace, and drop breeze rods which can be broken down into one of the most fun items in the game.

Wind Charges

Obtained by placing a breeze rod on a crafting table, wind charges are a thrown item that causes a massive knockback effect, including on the player themself! As a result, players can launch themselves high into the sky while only taking damage if they fall farther than the Y level they began on. The potential this item has for minigames and parkour is just as exciting as the item itself!

Mace

Crafted from a breeze rod and heavy core, the mace shares the same damage and weapon speed as a diamond sword, but where it shines is when falling from the sky. The mace deals extra damage the farther the wielder falls, negating any fall damage if the strike is successful. Combined with wind charges and the mace’s three unique enchantments, it creates an entirely new fighting style!

Ominous Events

Number one on our list is ominous events! This new feature is activated by drinking the contents of an ominous bottle and gaining the bad omen debuff. Players can then activate one of two hard modes depending on where they are located. If near a village, it will become a raid omen and start a difficult raid. If in a trial chamber, it will become a trial omen, transforming trial spawners into ominous trial spawners that generate difficult enemies, drop potions on players, and even launch projectiles. However, it is the potential this feature has that locks in at number one. Imagine an ominous wither or ender dragon! Optional hard modes are a great way to add a new layer of fun.
