Introduced in one of Palworld’s trailers for the release of Version 1.0, Shaolong is a majestic Water/Dragon Pal with the power to rule over other serpentine-like creatures through its Partner Skill. Palworld Tamers who want to take advantage of the power of dragons as their main party can do well with Shaolong at the center. Shaolong Location in Palworld

Wild Shaolong spawns at the World Tree, particularly in the large metallic area near the Alluvion Lakefront Fast Travel Point. Start by teleporting to that area, and make your way north until you reach the Dualith Alpha Boss encounter. Continue further north slightly, and you should see Shaolong flying over the water.

Hatching Shaolong (Breeding Guide)

Shaolong hatches from an incubated Huge Dragon Egg. However, 14 other Dragon Pals emerge from that egg, namely the following:

The only way to guarantee a Shaolong to appear from a Huge Dragon Egg is by placing two compatible Shaolongs in the Breeding Farm. Players would have to capture the two parents from their spawn location mentioned in the previous section. Alternatively, borrow a Shaolong (or two) from another Palworld server to get this Water Dragon without the need to travel to the World Tree.

How to Defeat and Capture Shaolong

Note: Image courtesy of Ape Knight Gaming. Dealing with a wild Shaolong isn’t impossible, but the encounter can still catch some players off guard. For starters, it can use Celestial Vortex, Shaolong’s exclusive skill, which pulls Pals and Pal Tamers in and deals damage on contact. If hit, this attack can take a huge chunk of your shield or health. Players with below-average health stats might even get knocked out by one Celestial Vortex. Thankfully, Shaolong’s Water/Dragon typing means this Pal also has dual elemental weaknesses. In particular, Electric and Ice attacks work well against Shaolong. Univolt, Beakon, and Orserk are top-tier Electric Pals to bring with you on your Shaolong hunt. If you want to use Ice Pals, Frostallion, Vanwyrm Cryst, and Moldron Cryst are excellent options. Use your most powerful weapons to help whittle Shaolong’s health to a critical level. Then, throw the highest-tier Pal Sphere in your inventory to capture it. Wear the Ring of Mercy or Pal Tamer Glasses to ensure the Shaolong’s health doesn’t drop below 1, priming it for capture.
