What is Blockbench?

Blockbench is a free, open-source tool used by various groups and organizations for the efficient and quick creation of low-poly models, textures, and animations. Mojang, for example, uses Blockbench internally for Minecraft. They've even developed publicly available plugins that official creators and fans alike can use. Everything created with Blockbench is owned by you, meaning your creations can even be used commercially, too!

Block Wizard & Entity Wizard

If you are an aspiring Minecraft Bedrock Edition creator, the journey begins by installing Blockbench and Mojang’s Block Wizard and Entity Wizard. These two separate plugins for Blockbench make the creation of Minecraft blocks and entities take as little as thirty seconds, ensuring that your development time is maximized. Not to mention, it makes the data and resource packs for you!

How to Install Block Wizard & Entity Wizard on BlockBench

1. Install Blockbench
2. Install Minecraft Bedrock Edition OR Minecraft Preview
3. Open Blockbench
4. Select “File” and then “Plugins” before searching “Block Wizard” and clicking “Install”
5. Repeat step 4, but instead search “Entity Wizard”

With those steps complete, your custom blocks and entities can now be created and added right into the game as resource and behavior packs.

Can I Sell My Creations on the Minecraft Marketplace?

Only a registered business that has entered a partnership with Mojang is able to sell content on the Minecraft Marketplace. However, each creation can be added to a portfolio to one day make that dream come true. In the meantime, you'll have the choice for them to be used privately or distributed through third-party means.
