There's a lot of ocean in Voyagers of Nera, and you'll have difficulty getting around if all you do is swim. Luckily, you don't have to wait too long before you can build a boat! We can tell you everything you need to know to get a seafaring vessel to keep your exploration going.

How to Build a Boat in Voyagers of Nera

Level Requirements

Before you have a boat, swimming is the main way to get from isle to isle in Voyagers of Nera. It's definitely the slowest way to traverse Nera's waters. Fortunately, you can acquire a recipe for crafting a boat when you hit knowledge level 4. Gathering resources, slaying enemies, and crafting all contribute to your knowledge level. As long as you're playing the game, you'll level up in no time! Once you're at knowledge level 4, open up your knowledge tree and spend a knowledge point to acquire the Cargo Skiff recipe. Congratulations! You're one step closer! To build a boat, you won't use a workbench. Instead, you need to open the game's build menu. Additionally, you can only construct a boat on water. As a result, it would be a good idea to build your base near a shoreline so that you can actually build your boat.

Resource Requirements

Once your boat's blueprint is placed in the water, you'll see the following ingredients are required to build it:

• 10x Twine
• 10x Resin
• 30x Wood

All of these are incredibly simple to grab. Both Resin and Wood are acquired by chopping down trees. Twine can be made at a workbench by crafting four pieces of Plant Fiber. You can find heaps of Plant Fiber wherever you see trees. Gather all these up, head to your boat's blueprint, and voila! You'll have your very own Cargo Skiff. This boat has a storage compartment in the middle, which is particularly handy when gathering large amounts of distant and heavy resources.

Taking Care of Your Boat

Now that you have a boat, you may feel on top of the world. But just keep in mind, this boat is quite fragile, and the waters aren't exactly friendly. If you're attacked by Deeplings (aggressive fish with glowing green eyes), or run into rocks or other obstacles, you'll notice your boat start to crack quickly. To get ahead of this, you might want to build some Basic Patch Kits to ensure your boat doesn't sink. These are unlocked at knowledge level 4 and are made from the following:

• 5x Bone Nails
• 6x Wood
• 2x Twine
• 4x Resin

With a Basic Patch Kit equipped, simply use it on your boat and presto! Good as new! At least until the next Deepling attack, of course.
