Vampires in V Rising aren’t limited to their base vampiric form while dominating the lands of Vardoran. Players can take advantage of various transformations, improving certain qualities. One notable transformation is the Wolf Form, and we’re here to guide you in unlocking this vampire power and its features.

How to Change to Wolf Form in V Rising

Unlocking the Wolf Form Vampire Power in V Rising is done by defeating the V Blood Carrier, Alpha the White Wolf. Arguably, this V Blood Carrier is the first boss players will encounter after leaving the graveyard tutorial area. Vampires can find this beast in the Wolf Den in Farbane Woods. However, be careful, as the Alpha Wolf roams the nearby area, allowing the animal to cross paths with other V Blood Carriers, particularly Lidia the Chaos Archer and Goreswine the Ravager. Once unlocked, players can access the Wolf Form through the Vampire Power radial menu. Upon transforming into a wolf, the player can run faster than walking on the ground as a two-legged vampire. However, this walking animation is still slower than the in-game horse. Nonetheless, staying in the Wolf Form prevents hostility from other wolf-type enemies. These creatures include Frost Wolves and Bandit Wolves. Being near the Alpha Wolf while in Wolf Form won’t also draw aggro from the boss. However, Cursed and Mutated Wolves will still attack the player on sight regardless of the current form used.

All Wolf Form Skins

As of Update 1.1, three skins are available for the Wolf Form in V Rising. Note that these skins are purely cosmetic and do nothing to enhance the performance of this particular Vampire Power. With that, the first skin is the default look, which is unlocked after defeating the Alpha Wolf V Blood Carrier. The other three skins can only be unlocked by purchasing their three corresponding DLCs: The Founder’s Pack: Eldest Bloodline, Legacy of Castlevania, and The Eternal Dominance Pack. The Founder's Pack: Eldest Bloodline Wolf Form skin, the Stygian Wolf, is black with flame-like red glowing from its mouth and cracks in its fur. The Legacy of Castlevania Wolf Form skin, the Soul of the Wolf, is white with a red ribbon and blade on its back, reminiscent of the transformation from the classic PS1 title, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The Eternal Dominance Pack Wolf Form skin, the Gilded Darkwolf, is glowing purple with gold accents and gilded armor on its face and claws.
