Where to Find Orichalcum in Terraria

Orichalcum has two core forms in Terraria: ore and bar. Players must first farm its ore variant, and then refine it to collect the bar form. Additionally, Orichalcum Ore is a Hardmode-only resource. So, defeating the Wall of Flesh is a priority to unlock the opportunity to farm this resource. After defeating the Wall of Flesh and entering Hardmode, Orichalcum Ore spawns in random places in different underground layers. However, the depth in which this resource appears depends on the map’s size:

• Small Map: Orichalcum Ore starts appearing at a depth of 500 tiles or 1,000 feet.
• Medium Map: Orichalcum Ore starts appearing at a depth of 700 tiles or 1,400 feet.
• Large Map: Orichalcum Ore starts appearing at a depth of 1,000 tiles or 2,000 feet.

Once found, use a pickaxe with a power of at least 110% to mine Orichalcum Ore. The Cobalt or Palladium Pickaxes are great starting points in this regard. Alternatively, destroy Demon or Crimson Altars with a Pwnhammer to generate more Orichalcum Ores at random areas of the map. Throwing Adamantite Ore in Shimmer also transmutes that material into Orichalcum Ore.
