In January 2025, a roadmap was leaked that showed Mojang’s broader plans for Minecraft in the coming years. Among all the information, such as the spinoff game Minecraft Spicewood, non-specific brand collaborations were also noted. However, at the time, nothing suggested or even hinted at Fortnite. Fast forward to March 2025, a second leaked roadmap would find its way onto the internet, this time listing specifics such as a Minecraft Fortnite crossover. Credibility was then added to the second roadmap leak when an Enderman began doing the popular Fortnite dance “Floss” center stage in the Minecraft Live 2025 announcement trailer. However, since then, prominent leakers for both Fortnite and Minecraft have claimed the second roadmap to be fake.

Will There Be a Minecraft Fortnite Crossover?

Sadly, at this time, evidence and testimony from credible leakers in both the Minecraft and Fortnite communities would suggest the second roadmap leaks and the Minecraft Fortnite crossover are fake. The only true evidence for the contrary is the Enderman doing the popular Fortnite dance “Floss” during the Minecraft Live 2025 announcement video. But as some fans pointed out, the Enderman’s tall and thin model with long arms is simply a perfect fit for that particular dance. It also isn’t uncommon for popular Fortnite dances to be used in marketing. At the end of the day, there is no confirmed answer by Epic or Mojang at this time, so it could very well end up all being true. But until official confirmation arrives, we would recommend viewing any such possibility of a crossover with a healthy level of skepticism.
