Icarus offers quite a few DLC options that can leave new players hesitant when deciding what to buy. So, today, we explore all 14 DLCs in our Icarus DLC guide.

Icarus: Styx Expansion

The Styx Expansion was the first major expansion released for Icarus on May 27, 2022. Within is a new map matching the size of the original, 23 new missions, and a plethora of new creatures waiting to be found. This DLC is not required to enjoy the base game and instead acts as a perfect continuation to the vanilla content’s completion.

Icarus: New Frontiers Expansion

The New Frontiers Expansion was the second major expansion released for Icarus on August 24, 2023. Like Styx, a new map is added, but this time, it is one much more alien and dangerous. Never-before-seen biomes await within, new weather events add to the difficulty, mutated alien creatures will put your combat skills to the test, and countless resources are available to discover. Icarus: New Frontiers Expansion is not required to enjoy the base game and once more acts as a perfect continuation.

Pet Companions adds 11 new creatures, which players can order down to the planet. Each has its own unique talent tree, and it is not possible to obtain these creatures through any other means.

Icarus offers three furniture DLCs with their own unique themes. Everything within them is purely cosmetic.

Icarus DLC Creative Maps: Outposts

Outposts are small-scale maps exclusive to Icarus’ creative mode, “outpost mode.” No threats, missions, or quests wait within. These DLCs are purely extra maps for those who wish to build leisurely without worry.

Icarus DLC Guide: Zebra Rescue Mission

Zebra Rescue is a free DLC that adds a new mission to unlock zebras as mounts. Zebras can not be obtained through any other means.
