How to Build the Mill in Enshrouded

Arguably, the first requirement to build the Mill in Enshrouded is to find Balthazar, the Alchemist NPC. His Ancient Vault is located at the far east of the Springlands Ancient Spire. Once summoned, gather the following materials to build the Mill:

• 30x Wood Planks
• 20x Stone
• 10x Lump of Clay
• 10x Iron Bars
• 1x Improved Millstone

Collect the Wood Planks by crafting them at the Table Saw. Note that 1x Wood Logs yields 2x Wood Planks, requiring you to farm 15x Wood Planks to complete this resource requirement. As for the Lump of Clay, farm this resource at Revelwood. Use your pickaxe at clay deposits, which look like large clumps of orange-brown mud. Then there are the Iron Bars, which can be crafted using one of two methods. First, use 10x Iron Ore and 25x Charcoal at the Smelter, which yields 10x Iron Bars. On the other hand, use 20x Iron Ore and 40x Coal at the Blast Furnace to yield 20x Iron Bars. Finally, the Improved Millstone requires you to venture into the Veilwater Basin. Improved Millstone Location in Enshrouded

The Improved Millstone is a one-of-a-kind item, as only one of them spawns per generated map. In particular, find this structure in Riverreach at Dragondream Lake, located northwest of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. Note that this location is still fairly far from the Ancient Spire, as it needs you to go around a mountainous region. Important Note: A pickaxe is required to enter the room with the Improved Millstone Reaching Riverreach meets you with its hostile residents. Remember, pace yourself and aim to defeat enemies one at a time. Alternatively, use crowd-control spells if you’re using a Wizard build. Fail to pay attention to the immediate environment, you might find yourself surrounded by hordes of new foes from the Wake of the Water Update. Next, follow these steps to find the Improved Millstone:

• Find the large water wheels in the middle of Riverreach.
• Walk down the nearby steps or jump down to reach the structure’s lowest level.
• Head to the three sluice gates and close them.
• Return to the highest level and enter the sawmill to the east of the hostile village.
• Exit the sawmill through the door on the right and drop down.
• Use your pickaxe to dig through the dirt leaning against the wall underneath the sawmill.
• Enter the sawmill’s basement through the hole you dug and grab the Improved Millstone inside.

With the Improved Millstone in your backpack, return to base and interact with the Alchemist. Doing so should let you build the Mill, along with the Water Wheel and Small Windmill Sails.
