V Rising 1.0 introduces new gear to the vampire survival action RPG. One notable example is the whip, which vampires can use to deliver deadly damage to their enemies. So, keep reading as we guide you in unlocking the new whip in V Rising 1.0.

How to Unlock the Whip in V Rising 1.0

Players can unlock the whip crafting recipe in V Rising by killing one of two V Blood Carriers: Domina the Blade Dancer and Simon Belmont the Vampire Hunter. Make no mistake; these bosses are no pushovers, unlike other V Blood Carriers. Defeating Domina unlocks the recipe for the Iron Whip. Besting Simon’s vampire-hunting skills and weapons gives you the crafting recipe for the Sanguine Whip. Players can find Domina in Rustlock Village at Gloomrot South. On the other hand, the Castlevania character can be found wandering different areas, including Farbane Woods and Silverlight Hills. However, you may have a good chance of finding Simon in the Harpy Nest south of Silverlight. Challenging these bosses isn't an easy feat. In particular, Simon's in-game profile shows his level is "???.” However, his damage capabilities earn him a spot in the ranks of late-game bosses. Aim to beat Domina if you're not ready to challenge Simon yet. Domina the Blade Dancer is a Level 60 V Blood Carrier and can also unlock other crafting recipes, such as those for the Advanced Grinder and Castle Teleporter, once defeated.

V Rising Whip Crafting Recipes

After defeating the necessary V Blood Carriers, players can interact with the correct crafting station to make their desired whip. In particular, interact with the Smithy to craft the Iron Whip using 12x Iron Ingot and 8x Plank. On the other hand, use 1x Dark Silver Whip, 1x Flawless Miststone, and 12x Gold Ingot at the Anvil to craft the Sanguine Whip.

Whip Skills

Unlocking the Iron Whip or Sanguine Whip also unlocks the skills for this weapon type. These default abilities are the following:

• Primary attack: Perform a combo of melee attacks dealing 50%/50%/55% physical damage to the first enemy hit. Deals 20% additional physical damage in a small radius at the tip of the whip.
• Aerial Whip Twirl: Leap towards the cursor and swing your whip around you, dealing 100% physical damage, knocking enemies back, and inflicting a 1.5s fading snare.
• Entangling Whip: Strike in a line, dealing 100% physical damage and inflicting a 2s entangle.
