How To Get Dorado In Stardew Valley

The Dorado in Stardew Valley only spawns in the forest river and only during Summer. However, it might also appear in Krobus’ shop on Wednesdays or in the Traveling Cart. However, these chances are random, and players typically would have better chances of catching this fish at its spawning location rather than waiting for it to appear at a merchant’s wares.

Ways to Use Dorado

Consume a Dorado in Stardew Valley to heal energy and health. The energy and health restored ranges from 25 Energy and 11 Health to 65 Energy and 29 Health, depending on the consumed Dorado’s rarity. Alternatively, players can sell Dorados for money. The money gained by doing so ranges from 100 to 200 gold pieces based on the fish’s rarity. The selling price increases by 25% with the Fisher profession and 50% with the Angler profession. Another way to use a Dorado in Stardew Valley is by placing it in a Fish Pond. With it, you can farm Roe, which you can sell for 80 gold pieces each. Dorado is also used in different crafting recipes, namely:

• Maki Roll: 1x Seaweed, 1x Rice, and 1x Dorado (or any fish)
• Sashimi: 1x Dorado (or any fish)
• Quality Fertilizer: 2x Sap and 1x Dorado (or any fish)

You can also use a Dorado as a spool in the Sewing Machine. Doing so will create a dyeable Fish Shirt. Also, Demetrius may request 10x Dorado as a Special Order request as of patch 1.5.
