Risk of Rain 2 only announced two characters for the Seekers of the Storm DLC Dev Diaries – Seeker and Chef. However, completing the expansion can also unlock a third character: the False Son. How to Unlock the False Son in Risk of Rain 2

Defeat the False Son in the Seekers of the Storm expansion while you have a Halcyon Seed in your inventory. Once completed, the False Son should appear as a new character in the Risk of Rain 2 survivor selection menu.

The False Son as a Playable Character

The playable version of the False Son in Risk of Rain 2 is a close-range fighter with a high health pool. His attacks are relatively slow yet hit hard. Unlocking him as one of the playable survivors in Risk of Rain 2 lets players take advantage of his stats, which are the following:

• Health: 180 (+54 per level)
• Health Regen: 0.6 to 1.5 per second, depending on the difficulty setting
• Damage: 13 (+2 per level)
• Speed: 7 m/s
• Armor: 70 at Drizzle difficulty, 0 for other difficulty settings

The False Son also has the following skills:

• Lunar Tampering: Every unused Lunar Spike gives +5% attack speed and +2.5 armor. Used spikes give +5% movement speed and +2.5 health regeneration.
• Club of the Forsaken: Hold the primary button to swing the False Son's club at nearby enemies for 300% damage. Hold the primary and secondary buttons to charge a slam for 1500%.
• Lunar Spikes: Lunar Ruin. Throw a Lunar Spike for 150% damage. Gain additional Lunar Spikes through Growth.
• Step of the Brothers: Dash a short distance, generating an explosion of 200% damage for every enemy hit. Two uses.
• Laser of the Father: Charge up to 1.5 seconds to fire a rapidly hitting laser for 30-175% damage for 4 seconds and refills Lunar Spikes. Increases in duration through Growth.
• Laser Burst: Fire a piercing laser for 1000% damage, refilling 30% Lunar Spikes. Increases in stock by Growth.
