Medical items are essential for survival in the brutal medieval world of Renown. Remember, a player’s health doesn’t recover over time in this game. Thankfully, medical items exist in Renown, and we’re here to help you craft and use these items. So, keep reading to learn how to endure and survive with the right healing items.

How to Craft Medical/Healing Items in Renown

As of the game’s Early Access, and at the time of writing, the Primitive Bandage is the only craftable medical item in Renown. It also requires 10x Fiber, which you can get from farming Flax, the purple flower, which you can find and farm throughout the map. A Cloth Bandage variant is also available in Early Access. However, it’s a non-craftable item, requiring players to search for it in various containers. Thankfully, small villages and large castles often have Cloth Bandages in abundance inside bags and chests.

Using Medical/Healing Items in Renown

As with other usable items in Renown, you must place the Primitive Bandage or Cloth Bandage in an available hotbar slot. Then, press the button associated with the healing item to equip it. Next, press the left mouse button (by default) to use it. A progress bar appears at the bottom of the HUD when you're using a Bandage. Note that you can't cancel this animation until the progress bar fills completely, leaving you vulnerable during this time. So, it's ideal to find a safe spot or have allies in the same Renown server protect you while you’re healing. Also, the Cloth Bandage is a better healing item than its Primitive counterpart, as it heals more health. However, the Cloth Bandage might be challenging to come by, especially during raids and sieges. Ensure that you have a sufficient stock of Fiber and Primitive Bandages if you run out of Cloth Bandages during sweaty combat scenarios.
