With Palworld 1.0, 74 new Pals have been added for you to fight, capture, and add to your Paldeck. One of the most powerful new additions is the beautiful Ophydia. This grassy and watery serpent has some high-level potential for becoming another member of your party, and some useful work suitability. Here, we'll tell you how to find it, its breeding combinations, stats, and more. Let's get catching!

Ophydia Location in Palworld

Ophydia does not spawn or roam the wild. Instead, you'll have to fight the Alpha Field Boss variant of the creature. Luckily, this means you can always rely on it being available in the same spot. Unfortunately, this means it'll be one tough customer to catch. You can find this enormous beastie in Sunreach at coordinates -590, -1483. Before heading there, make sure you're ready to fight a massive level 69 Pal!

Hatching Ophydia (Breeding Guide)

Of course, the Alpha Field Boss Ophydia isn't the only way to get one. You can always have it hatch from a Huge Verdant Egg if you happen to find one while exploring. Of course, it isn't the only Pal that may hatch from this type of egg. These are all the Pals that could pop out of a Huge Verdant Egg:

If you don't want to harvest eggs and keep hoping for an Ophydia to appear, you can always use a Breeding Farm and guarantee an Ophydia. Some of these Pals aren't easy to come by, but we think the slightly easier pair to find is a Neptilius and Frostallion. However, they're still tricky to find on their own. It takes powerful and rare Pals to make powerful and rare Pals! Here are other breeding pairs that will produce an Ophydia:

How to Defeat and Capture Ophydia

As mentioned above, you won't be able to fight Ophydia until you reach Sunreach, and the Pal will be a massive level 69. So, make sure you've got the proper armor and weaponry to take on such a monstrous threat. Luckily, as such a large target, you can use almost any firearm since it's easy to hit. Your guns will work better than melee weaponry, as Ophydia tries to stay distant. Its moves also do plenty of AoE damage, so you'll want to stay mobile and shoot when you can. As a dual Water and Grass-type Pal, Ophydia is weak to both Electric-type moves. Its Water half effectively cuts out the utility that Fire would normally have against its Grass half. Keep an Electric Pal with you to strike at that weakness, and you should have an Alpha Field Boss Ophydia captured and on your Palworld roster in no time.
