As many Palworld adventurers are probably aware, some Pals come in different colors. They'll have slightly different names, but they also have different element typings and completely new abilities. Perhaps you've heard of the sea beast Jormuntide, but did you know of its variant Jormuntide Ignis? Jormuntide Ignis Location in Palworld

Unlike the normal version of Jormuntide, Jormuntide Ignis can be found roaming the wild and not solely as a Field Alpha Boss. The best place to find a wild Jormuntide Ignis is the Emberstone Plateau lava pools on Feybreak Island. These can be found near the coordinates -720, -1195. If you're looking for a Field Alpha Boss variant, you'll want to head to Wildlife Sanctuary No. 2 near coordinates -660, -115. You can also find some normal Jormuntide Ignis here.

Hatching Jormuntide Ignis (Breeding Guide)

If hurling Pal Spheres is your least favorite way to acquire new Pals in Palworld, you may be an egg lover. Luckily, Jormuntide Ignis can hatch from Huge Dragon Eggs that you can find scattered around the Palpagos Islands. Of course, you'll find this particular egg type more frequently if you're on Mount Obsidian. While this egg can hatch a Jormuntide Ignis, it has an equal chance of hatching any of the following Pals when it's collected in the wild:

Blazehowl and Jormuntide aren't exactly difficult Pals to acquire, but they're not very common either. However, once you have one of these breeding pairs, you can create as many Jormuntide Ignis eggs as you like. That way, you can get one with the stats you want!

How to Defeat and Capture Jormuntide Ignis in Palworld

The trickiest part of fighting a Jormuntide Ignis is its typing. As a dual Fire and Dragon type, you might think you're in the clear to bring along some Water Pals. However, a Jormuntide Ignis also knows some Electric-type attacks. While you might think this means the Dragon half is what you should target with an Ice attack, the Fire half will be strong against any Ice Pals you use. This makes Jormuntide Ignis one tough customer to find a suitable weakness in. If you bring a combination of Water and Ice Pals, you should be fine so long as they're appropriately leveled up. As is the case with most Pal battles, ranged weaponry will be your best friend. Especially due to Jormuntide Ignis mostly flying out of reach for melee attacks. While Jormuntide Ignis will pelt you with its own array of ranged abilities, keep in mind that its exclusive skill, Magma Serpent, has the beastie rush toward you while engulfed in flames. If this move connects, you'll be in a world of hurt. Watch out for the move's telltale roar, and you should be okay.
