If there's one thing you'll always need more of in Palworld, it's resources. Along your journey, you'll need Paldium Fragments, Electric Organs, Holy Water, and so many more. One of these many resources you'll eventually want to pick up for some of the most fun progression items in Palworld is Dark Fragments. But these tiny chunks of darkness can be tricky to find if you aren't sure where to look, and gathering them isn't as obvious as it might seem. Luckily, we're here to tell you exactly where to find Dark Fragments in Palworld, which Pals drop them, and how to use them.

Best Location to Farm Dark Fragments in Palworld

As is the case with many other Palworld fragments, Dark Fragments only drop from defeated Pals. As one might be able to guess from the name, Dark Fragments only drop from Dark Pals; however, not every Dark Pal drops them. Here's a list of the Pals that do drop Dark Fragments once they're defeated:

• Omascul
• Solenne
• Starryon
• Celesdir Noct
• Bellanoir
• Bellanoir Libero
• Kitsun Noct
• Splatterina

The best way to go about gathering Dark Fragments is to find a route with plenty of the Pals listed above that you can reliably mow down. Finding such a spot that works for you isn't quick, either. Don't worry — we've found a great spot roughly located near coordinates -709, 1274. This spot is located on Feybreak Island, and your target is a gathering of Dazzi Noct. You should find a grouping of these Pals that can range from 3 to 6 of the critters. Occasionally, a massive Field Alpha Boss can spawn as part of the group as well. They'll be around levels 57 to 60, so come prepared with plenty of high-level gear and Pals of your own. When fighting these Dazzi Noct, or any Dark Pal, it would be wise to have a Pal with the Dragon element on your team. Dark is weak to Dragon attacks, and so the right Pal moves can make quick work of most Dark Pals. While you won't immediately be drowning in Dark Fragments from defeating this clump of Dazzi Noct, it's a better spot than most. If you have a speedy flying mount, you can quickly fly far away from the area and then return to have the Dazzi Noct respawn. Happy hunting!

All Dark Fragment Crafting Recipes & Uses

There are plenty of different Pal Saddles, armor pieces, and more that you can craft using Dark Fragments. Interestingly, you can't craft any player weapons. However, you can craft Nyafia's Shotgun, which is a handy tool for weaponizing your Nyafia Pals. Additionally, while you can make armor with Dark Fragments, it's all armor that helps your character get some more movement abilities. The Air Walker Mk I-III, for example, all allow you to jump or dash in mid-air. However, you'll likely do most of your Dark Fragments collecting to acquire the numerous Pal Saddles that require it.
