The Parched

• Health: 8 hearts
• Bow Damage: 1-2 / 1.5-2.5 / 2-4 Hearts (Easy/Normal/Hard)
• Biome: Desert

Parched are a skeleton variant added in Minecraft Snapshot 25W44A that replace approximately 50% of skeleton spawns within desert biomes. They have a lower health pool and fire-rate compared to regular skeletons, but make up for it with a few unique powers, which we have listed below:

1. Arrows of Weakness – Parched fire arrows of weakness, applying the weakness status effect for thirty seconds if hit.
2. Sunlight Immunity – Parched are immune to sunlight and will not burn much like the husk.

Parched can drop bones, arrows, and arrows of weakness upon death, alongside the possibility of any weapons or equipment that they happen to be wearing.

How to Find the Minecraft Parched

Parched are a skeleton variant exclusive to desert biomes. Those attempting to find a desert will have the most luck searching around other high-temperature biomes. This is especially the case with badlands and mangrove swamp biomes, which deserts commonly appear next to. However, should some bad luck occur, the command below can be used to find the exact coordinates of a desert:

Camel Husk Jockey

When a husk zombie variant attempts to spawn, there is approximately a 10% chance that it will instead spawn as a camel husk jockey. This terrifying combination of mobs contains a spear-wielding husk and bow-wielding parched riding upon the back of a camel husk. Once the husk and parched are defeated, the undead camel husk can be tamed using rabbit feet and used as a sunlight-immune undead mount. They function identically to a living camel, minus the change in diet and the ability to breed.
