4. Better MC 4

Back with its fourth iteration, Better MC 4 has once again proven why no one does vanilla+ better. New blocks, new mobs, new structures, and hundreds of new additions add plenty of layers while still maintaining that perfect vanilla flavor.

3. RLCraft

RLCraft has maintained its place on our list for yet another year, so don’t let its age fool you! To be on version 1.12.2 while resting at the top of the charts well into 2024 means it’s there for a reason. Those seeking to play survival Minecraft on the hardest difficulty possible need not look further than this masterwork of modding.

2. The Pixelmon Modpack

Making use of the famous Pixelmon Reforged mod, The Pixelmon Modpack remains one of the best ways to experience Pokémon in Minecraft to this date. That includes Pokémon from the latest generation of the game, who are continuously being modeled and added by a dedicated team.
