The wide-open islands of Palworld feature plenty of Pals that you can mount for speedier exploration and combat. One Palworld critter that offers some unique mount mechanics is the powerful Necromus. This centaur-like Pal packs a punch and makes a strong addition to any adventuring party. Here, we'll tell you how to find Necromus, its breeding combinations, stats, skills, and plenty more. Let's ride!

Necromus Location in Palworld

Palworld Necromus Location screenshot There's only one Necromus wandering around in Palworld, and it's a Field Alpha Boss. You can find this big bruiser in the far northeastern reaches of the Desiccated Desert, around coordinates -447, 679. This Necromus also spawns at level 60, so be sure you and your party of Pals are appropriately equipped for the fight. Also, keep in mind that the Field Alpha Boss Paladius spawns next to Necromus. These two Pals will work together against you if you aren't careful. The best way to get Necromus on its own is to wait for nightfall. Then, Paladius will be asleep, and you can draw Necromus's aggro to fight or capture it one-on-one.

Hatching Necromus (Breeding Guide)

Palworld Necromus Paldeck screenshot Maybe fighting enormously powerful Field Alpha Boss Pals isn't your favorite thing. Luckily, you can find a Huge Dark Egg by wandering the world and hatch a level one Necromus. Keep in mind that most wild eggs have a chance to hatch a random Pal from a pool of potential Pals. For example, here are all of the Pals you can hatch from a Huge Dark Egg:
  • Necromus
  • Bellanoir
  • Bellanoir Libero
  • Frostallion Noct
  • Helzephyr Lux
  • Lyleen Noct
  • Xenolord
  • Shadowbeak
  • Selyne
  • Menasting
Understandably, not all Palworld adventurers love the idea of hunting down random eggs in hopes of winning the lottery for their preferred Pals. Normally, you can use a Breeding Farm to put two Pals together for guaranteed results. In the case of Necromus, there is only one breeding pair that results in a guaranteed Necromus hatchling: Necromus & Necromus. So, sadly, breeding isn't the best way to get your first Necromus. It can, however, be a great way to breed a Necromus with specific stats!

How to Defeat and Capture Necromus in Palworld

Palworld Necromus screenshot As mentioned above, the Necromus Alpha Field Boss spawns near a Paladius Alpha Field Boss. Fighting both horsey Pals at once is significantly more difficult than fighting them one at a time. Again, the best way to get Necromus by itself is to wait for nightfall when Paladius falls asleep. Then, you can damage Necromus from afar to lure it away from its sleeping companion. Since you'll be fighting in the Desiccated Desert, you'll need some heat-resistant armor or an Ice Pal in your party to keep the environment from harming you. While on the subject of partner Pals, Necromus is a Dark-element Pal. This means any Dragon-element Pal you have will be a huge boon during the fight. However, Necromus will deal twice as much damage to Neutral-element Pals, so avoid bringing them to fight. In fact, be careful bringing Grass, Ice, or Electric Pals out to fight as well. Despite its typing, Necromus has access to more than just Dark-type moves. It can also unleash some nasty Fire and Ground attacks. These can be a nasty surprise if you're not ready for them, so stick to a Pal that's a pure Dragon for the best element-matchup results. When fighting the Necromus itself, you need to be as mobile as possible. This beast moves fast, and it will constantly rush up to you in battle. Especially with its powerful exclusive skill, Twin Spears. For the best results, focus on long-range weaponry and use a flying mount frequently if you have one. Hopping onto your mount to avoid large attacks on the ground or to put space between you and the Necromus is a great way to keep yourself alive.
