Cushions, Minecraft Cushions, and More Cushions

Added in Minecraft 26.3, cushions are the first form of functional seating for furniture in Minecraft. They can be sat upon in the same way as boats and mounts (a right-click) and function similarly to sitting on a pig without a carrot on a stick. Once sitting down, you can interact with items within reach, look all around, and get up at any time with Shift, but until you do, you can not move.

The Cushion Crafting Recipe

Crafting a single cushion requires three identical wool slabs placed in a horizontal line on a crafting table. Once complete, the resulting cushion will always be the same color as the wool slabs used to make it. But do not fret if your favorite color is another! Like most dyeable items in Minecraft, placing a cushion of any color on a crafting table with dye next to it creates a new cushion of that dye’s color.
