Five Hidden Minecraft Easter Eggs
Publié le par
Minecraft has many secrets to find! So, today, we explore five hidden Minecraft easter eggs that can each be found in the latest version of the game.
The first easter egg is one that has occurred for countless players yet often goes unnoticed. When loading up Minecraft Java Edition, there is a 0.01% chance that the title will say “Minceraft” rather than “Minecraft”. Thankfully, it can be easily proven today by looking up the easter egg, but when it first appeared, some unfortunate few were left trying to convince others the title on their screen was truly misspelled.
Similarly, there are many rare splash texts that can appear next to the title, but the true easter egg among them is actually one that never appears at all. If the splashes.txt file is opened to read all the splash texts, one will find “This message will never appear on the splash screen, isn’t that weird?” included.
Hidden within the game files of Java Edition is a ruthless monster that Monty Python and the Holy Grail fans will recognize. An evil, deadly, killer bunny with its own red eye and white fur texture! It can only be summoned with the command:
Minecraft has three seasonal changes that appear for a limited time each year. The first is on Halloween, and for that day alone, undead hostile mobs have a 22.5% chance to spawn with carved pumpkins on their head and a 2.5% chance to spawn with jack-o’-lanterns on their head. Jumping forward to the holiday season and the second seasonal change, Minecraft chests have their textures changed to wrapped presents from December 24 to 26. And, finally, “Happy New Year!” appears once a year as the splash text for January 1.
The Minecraft Movie brought an abundance of memorable quotes and moments, but few among them were as catchy as Steve’s Lava Chicken song. So, it was only fitting that Mojang honored it with a hidden music disc! To get the Lava Chicken music disc, one must slay a chicken jockey which is a baby zombie riding a chicken. The very same creature Steve confronted in the Illager fighting ring during the movie.
Finally, we have the most gameplay-altering of all the easter eggs. A name tag usually only applies a name and prevents the mob from despawning. However, that isn’t always the case. If any of the names below are applied, the named mob will permanently gain the listed effect. The names are case-sensitive.
