Here, you’ll learn how to deal with the Security Robot in Abiotic Factor, along with the possible rewards you’ll get from defeating one.

How to Defeat the Security Robot in Abiotic Factor

The Security Robot in Abiotic Factor may look menacing, but it shouldn’t be much of a challenge with the right gear and strategy. For starters, it’s important to know that the Security Bot only has a melee attack. So, avoid staying within close proximity of this enemy, and you should be fine. That also means it’s not a good idea to use melee weapons to damage it, unless you’re confident with your health and defenses. Additionally, here are some techniques to help you deal with the Security Robot efficiently:

Use the High Ground

As mentioned earlier, the Security Robot doesn’t have ranged attacks. It also can’t climb. So, take advantage of its shortcomings by climbing on an elevated surface. Then, use powerful ranged weapons to take it out. For example, deal with the Security Robot in the lobby after the cafeteria by jumping onto the central fountain. Here, use weapons, such as guns, to defeat the Security Bot while it's struggling to reach you.

Build Traps

Thankfully, the Security Robot “sleeps” during the day and will only be active at night. Pay attention to the in-game time by checking your watch regularly. Then, lay traps near a Security Bot’s charging area before the power goes out at 9 PM. Some excellent traps to use are the Laser Tripmine, Shock Trap, and Tripwire Mine. Alternatively, leave turrets near the charging station, such as the Chopinator and Laser Turret. Remember, some traps and turrets need power to function. So, place these deployable stations near power sources or jimmy chain a set of batteries to ensure these items function as intended.

Destroy the Robot Before It Wakes Up

If you’re feeling brave and confident, it’s possible to deal with the Security Robot in Abiotic Factor before 9 PM. Simply attack the charging station during the day, and the Security Bot should wake up. Defeat it, and the robot should respawn in the charging station at night instead of allowing it to roam a sector.

Use Electrified Water

This particular technique generally only works on the Security Robot roaming the Office Sector in Level 3. Simply lead the Security Bot to the nearby electrified water. Then, safely jump across the platforms to reach the other side. Now, watch as the walking tin can tries to reach you, but instead gets damaged. Wait for a few moments, and watch as the robot falls, allowing you to take its loot.

Successfully defeating the Security Robot in Abiotic Factor rewards the victor with various items, namely the following:

• Pop Snarkle Drink

The Security Bot CPU, in particular, is an essential material used to trade for an Anvil at The Blacksmith in Manufacturing West. Alternatively, use the Security Bot CPU with other resources to craft items, namely the Bio-Metric Armwraps, Computation Brick, and Symphonist Scarecrow. Abiotic Factor players can also destroy the defeated Security Robot to harvest additional materials. Doing so may make other resources appear, including the following:
